MLEC POSTER CONTEST
MLEC’s annual poster contest includes divisions for grades K-2 & 3-5. Materials are sent to teachers in August, and entries are due in September. County division winners receive $25 and a new bicycle. Other prizes of $20 and $10 are also awarded.
To enter, students are asked to design a poster based on the year's theme. Winners are chosen in each grade division in each of the five counties served by MLEC. Additionally, one overall winner is selected and receives a $100 gift card! Winners are announced by mail, and prizes are awarded at MLEC's district membership meetings in October.
Submissions must be turned in at the student’s school office by lunch or directly to MLEC before closing on deadline entry date. Entry forms will be delivered to area schools and are available on this site. Home-school students are also eligible.
- The title #MLEC:PoweringYou MUST be on the poster.
- Deadline: September 11
- Poster Size – one-half of a full-size poster board (turned so that it is more wide than tall.)
- If materials are applied to the poster, they should not make it more than 2 inches thick when laid flat.
- A completed identification tag MUST be taped or glued securely to the back of the poster in the top, right-side corner. If a tag is not available, details can be printed directly on the poster but must include all requested information. Details to include are the student’s name, gender, parent names, address, phone number, grade, school, and teacher. If the information is missing or incomplete, the poster will not be judged.
