Electric Restoration Nearly Complete as Broadband Repairs Continue

Isolated power outages remain; MLConnect crews focus on fiber repairs

(9:00 a.m. February 3, 2026 – Centerville, TN)- Power restoration efforts across the Meriwether Lewis area continue to move forward with fewer than 150 members remaining without power. Of those, approximately 80 outages are in Perry County, and the remaining in Lewis and Hickman counties.

Members who are still without power, or who know of someone still without service, are encouraged to contact their local MLEC office to ensure their outage is reported.

MLEC and mutual aid crews are now working on limited to single, isolated locations scattered across each county. Many of these require more time and individualized work to safely restore service.

For Perry County, crews will be actively working today in the following areas, along with additional locations throughout the county: Bunker Hill, Cedar Creek Landing, Highway 412 East and West, Starlight Drive, Lobelville, Old Highway 20, White Oak, Jarrett Lane, Godwin Road, Toad Hollow, and Catron Street.

The goal today is to restore power to all members who can be safely reconnected. There are numerous locations across all three counties where homeowner repairs are required before power can be restored. In these cases, members will need to coordinate with a licensed electrician to make necessary repairs.

Broadband Update:
MLConnect continues making steady progress restoring broadband service following Winter Storm Fern. Approximately 940 broadband outages remain, primarily across Hickman, Lewis, and Perry counties, with fewer than 40 combined outages in Humphreys and Houston counties.

Additional fiber mutual aid crews joined MLConnect today and are following a structured storm restoration process. Crews are prioritizing repairs to mainline fiber breaks first before moving into neighborhoods and individual service drops at homes and businesses. Each crew specializes in a different phase of restoration, allowing work to move efficiently from line repairs to splicing and then to individual connections. Crews are also addressing broadband issues as they arise in Humphreys and Houston counties.

Members who have power but are still without broadband service are encouraged to unplug their router for several minutes and plug it back in. If service does not return, please report the outage by submitting a service ticket online or by contacting your local office.
