MLEC Shares Board Candidates
Cooperative members file declaration forms for October elections
(August 14, 2026 – Centerville, TN) — Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative holds district membership meetings each October to elect members to its board of directors. Those desiring to run must complete a Declaration of Candidacy form by July 15 and meet the set qualifications.
Candidates in Lewis County are incumbent Dr. Jeff Peery and Travis Ray Hinson. Incumbents Johnnie Ruth Elrod (Hickman County), Ronny Averett (Perry County) and William David Daniel, III (Humphreys County) are unopposed in their district. No director’s term expires this year in Houston County.
