MLEC shares August 31 Deadline
(August 5, 2026– Centerville, TN) — Meriwether Lewis is accepting applications for its annual Adopt-A-School Grant program through August 31, 2026. The cooperative will award $1,000 classroom grants to three educators in each county served by MLEC to support classroom needs and educational projects.
Kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers and principals are eligible to apply. Grant funds may be used to purchase classroom supplies, enhance lesson plans, introduce new technology or create hands-on learning opportunities that directly benefit students.
Applications are available through local schools or online at mlec.com/school-programs. Paper or digital applications should be submitted to MLEC Member Services or your local MLEC office by the August 31 deadline.
” These grants are made possible by the partnership of Meriwether Lewis, CoBank’s Sharing Success Program and the Tennessee Valley Authority,” said MLEC President and CEO Keith Carnahan. “Our Adopt-A-School Grant program gives educators additional resources to create meaningful learning opportunities for their students, and we’re proud to continue supporting local schools each year.”
