(March 6, 2023 – 8:30 p.m.) — Power restoration efforts are nearing an end in the Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative area. The few remaining without power are mostly isolated cases and locations where homeowners need to make repairs before service can be reconnected. Operations have returned to normal in all cooperative served counties, except Houston County which is expected to reach the same status tomorrow.
“Our members have been supportive throughout this weather event,” says MLEC President and CEO Keith Carnahan. “Our employees and their families are thankful for everyone’s patience while we worked through difficult circumstances in a manner that brought everyone home safely at the end of the day.”
MLConnect broadband repairs are ongoing. If power has returned but Internet has not, unplug the router from the power source for a few minutes instead of using the reset button. If you still need assistance, visit the Support Portal on mlconnect.com, or call MLEC and choose OPTION 3, then OPTION 2 to report the outage.
MLEC is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility that serves more than 35,000 meters in Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Lewis and Perry counties. We are helping build brighter futures and make connections possible for those we serve. Learn more at mlec.com.
