(May 28, 2020) — The power outage scheduled for May 27 has been postponed until June 6. It affects the area from Waverly Junior High School to Chamber Springs Road in Waverly. The interruption will begin around 11:55 p.m. on June 6 and last approximately 6 hours. The job date was reset due to potential storms in the area tonight.
During this time, Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative crews will continue the job that began in January to upgrade and add equipment to better serve members and meet the demand of new electric load.
“We’ve reached the point in the project where an outage is needed to switch out equipment and create a safer working environment,” says MLEC District Manager Junior Breeden. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this time.”
If anyone has questions or concerns, contact Meriwether Lewis at 931.296.2581. In the event of inclement weather, the power outage will be postponed to a later date.
